Simple Mobile APN settings are not published as a list. You enter your phone number or SIM number on Simple Mobile’s APN page and it pushes the settings to your phone. The APN, or access point name, tells a phone how to reach the data network. Simple Mobile is owned by Verizon.
How to update your Simple Mobile APN
- Connect the phone to Wi-Fi.
- Open Simple Mobile’s APN page and enter your phone number or SIM number.
- Wait a few minutes. Simple Mobile says it sends “an update which will automatically update its APN settings”.
- Turn Wi-Fi off and open a web page to check that mobile data works.
- If it does not, follow the manual instructions the page then shows for your phone.
On an iPhone
The same page carries a warning for iPhone owners: “If you have an iPhone and would like to use MMS, you may need to make further changes to your iPhone in order to update your MMS settings.” Run the lookup first, then follow what it shows for MMS.
Apple says you can edit the APN on an iPhone only “if your carrier allows it”, under Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Network.
