What this site is
BuzzMobile covers US prepaid carriers and MVNOs. It records which network each brand runs on, what its plans cost, how to set up its APN, and what replaced the carriers that closed.
The site has been online since 2013. Its older pages covered phone plans and APN settings carrier by carrier. In 2026 we rebuilt it around one question people kept arriving with: is this brand still around, and if not, where did its customers go?
What you will find here
- A page for each prepaid carrier and MVNO we track, with its owner, the network it uses, its plans and the date we read them. The MVNO list is the way in.
- A page for each brand that has closed, such as US Cellular, Sprint and Virgin Mobile, saying what happened and where its customers went.
- APN settings copied from each carrier’s own support page.
- Plan round-ups, comparisons, eSIM pages and guides to switching, porting and unlocking.
We cover the United States only.
Who publishes it
BuzzMobile is published by the BuzzMobile Team. Pages carry that name and not an individual’s, because no page here rests on one person’s authority. It rests on what each carrier publishes about itself.
We are independent. No carrier owns the site, pays for a place on it, or sees a page before it is published.
Where the facts come from
We read each carrier’s own pages and record what they say. Every current price, network and setting shows the month we last checked it.
We do not test plans, SIM cards or phones, and no page claims that we did. How we handle sources, old prices and corrections is set out in our editorial policy.
How the site pays its way
Advertising. We do not charge readers, and we do not take payment for coverage.
