Every current fact has a source and a date

A price, a host network, an APN value, a statement that a brand has closed. Each of these comes from a page we opened and read, and the page says which one and when. Look for the line that starts “Checked”, next to the fact.

The source is the carrier’s own page wherever one exists. For a brand that has closed, it is the announcement from the company that took it over, a regulatory filing, or a named news report.

If we could not confirm something, the page says so or leaves it out. We do not estimate a price and we do not fill a gap from memory.

We do not test

BuzzMobile does not buy plans, measure speeds or review phones. Nothing here is written as if we had. When a page says a plan includes something, that is the carrier’s claim, quoted from its own page.

Old prices are a record

This site has documented carrier plans since 2013, and it keeps the old figures for brands that have closed. They appear in a block marked “Archive” with the year. They are what the carrier charged then. We do not re-check them and they are not offers.

Closed brands keep their page

When a carrier or MVNO shuts down, its page stays. It opens with what happened, the date and who has its customers now, then says what a former customer should do. People search for a brand long after it is gone, and the useful answer is the true one.

How often we re-check

Carrier facts are reviewed every quarter. The date beside a fact is the day we last read its source, and it changes only when we read it again. A page’s “Updated” date changes only when its substance does.

Corrections

Tell us which page and what is wrong, at contact@buzzmobile.us. We fix confirmed errors and change the page’s updated date. We do not quietly rewrite a page to hide that it was wrong.

Advertising and independence

The site earns money from advertising. Advertisers do not choose what we cover, how a brand is described, or the order of any list. Lists are ordered by name or by network, not by payment.
