Verizon APN settings are hard to pin down for one reason. Verizon does not publish them for phones. We searched verizon.com on October 8, 2026 and found no support page that lists the APN, MMSC and network codes for a phone. The APN, or access point name, tells a phone how to reach the carrier’s data network, and a Verizon phone normally gets it from the SIM without you touching anything.
So this page is in two parts. First what Verizon itself says today. Then the full set of values this site recorded in 2016, marked as the old record it is.
What Verizon says today
One value is confirmed by Verizon. Its support article for a 5G hotspot, the Inseego MiFi M2100, lists the APNs that device uses and says of one of them: “vzwinternet: Required for general internet connections.”
That article is about a hotspot, not a phone. It gives no MMSC, no network
codes and no APN type. It does tell you that vzwinternet is the name of
Verizon’s general internet APN today, which matches what this site recorded
years ago.
Before you enter anything
Try these in order before you type an APN by hand.
- Restart the phone.
- Check that mobile data is switched on and that the Verizon SIM is the one selected for data.
- Reset the network settings. On an iPhone that is Settings, General, Transfer or Reset iPhone, Reset, Reset Network Settings. It also clears saved Wi-Fi passwords.
- If the phone came from another carrier, ask Verizon whether it is unlocked and supported on its network.
Verizon APN settings we recorded in 2016
These are the values this site published for Verizon in 2016. Other sites still link to that page, which is why we keep it.

If you try them, write down what your phone had first. On Android, open Settings, find Access Point Names under the mobile network settings, and note the entry that is selected before you add a new one. Then you can go back.
Verizon APN settings on an iPhone
You usually cannot change them. Apple says you can view or edit the APN on an iPhone only “if your carrier allows it”, under Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Network. On an iPhone with a Verizon SIM that screen is normally absent, and the carrier’s settings arrive through a carrier update.
Questions people ask
Are Straight Talk or Visible settings the same as Verizon’s?
No. Those brands use Verizon’s towers and their own APN. Use the settings the brand you pay gives you.
My data stopped after an iOS update
Apple says updating iOS resets any APN changes you made by hand. If you had entered an APN, enter it again, or reset network settings.
Who can give me the current values?
Verizon. It does not print them on its website, so its support line is the only source that can confirm what your line should use.
