Metro by T-Mobile APN settings are not on Metro’s website. We looked on October 8, 2026. Its “update device settings” support page covers software updates and calling options, not the APN. The APN, or access point name, tells a phone how to reach the data network. Metro runs on T-Mobile’s network and a phone with a Metro SIM normally picks its settings up without help.
What to try first
- Restart the phone.
- Check that mobile data is on and that the Metro SIM is the one selected for data.
- Reset the network settings. On an iPhone that is Settings, General, Transfer or Reset iPhone, Reset, Reset Network Settings. It also clears saved Wi-Fi passwords.
MetroPCS APN settings we recorded in 2016
Metro was called MetroPCS then. These are the values this site published.
Archive: 2016
Recorded in 2016. Metro does not publish a current list.
| Field | Value in 2016 |
|---|---|
| Name | MetroPCS |
| APN | fast.t-mobile.com |
| MMSC | http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc |
One thing makes this old record more useful than most. The APN and the MMSC are the same strings T-Mobile publishes today for its own network. You can see the full current set, with network codes and APN type, on our T-Mobile APN settings page. T-Mobile publishes those for T-Mobile customers. It has not told us they apply to Metro lines, so write down what your phone has before you change anything.
On an iPhone
Apple says you can view or edit the APN on an iPhone only “if your carrier allows it”, under Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Network. If the screen is not there, the SIM supplies the settings and the network reset above is the fix.
Who can confirm your settings
Metro. Since it does not print them, its support line or a Metro store is the only source that can say what your line should use.
