Metro by T-Mobile plans list at $40 to $60 a month for one line, and that price already includes taxes and fees. Metro is T-Mobile’s own prepaid brand, known as MetroPCS until T-Mobile renamed it. Its plans page says service is “all on T-Mobile’s nationwide 5G network”.

Metro by T-Mobile plans and prices

Three plans made up the core of the page when we read it.

PlanOne lineWith AutoPayData
Unlimited 5G data, web exclusive$40Not offeredUnlimited 5G. Slower after 35 GB in a month when the network is busy
Unlimited 5G data$55$50 after the first monthUnlimited 5G, with 8 GB of hotspot
Unlimited Premium 5G data$60$55 after the first monthUnlimited premium 5G, with 25 GB of hotspot and HD video

Prices are from Metro’s phone plans page, read on October 8, 2026. Metro says taxes and fees are included and that these plans carry a five-year price guarantee.

Extra lines are cheaper. Metro’s own labels put the $55 plan at $85 for two lines, $115 for three and $125 for four.

The page also carried two offers that looked temporary: three months free when you pay for three on the $40 plan, and a bring-your-own-phone plan at $15 a month for three months, then $25 with AutoPay. Offers like these change often, so check the page before you count on one.

How Metro differs from T-Mobile

It uses the same network and waits behind T-Mobile’s own customers on it. Metro states it directly: “When network is busy, Metro speeds may be reduced vs. T-Mobile speeds due to prioritization.”

What you get in exchange is a price with the taxes already in it. T-Mobile’s own plans add a monthly fee per line on top. See T-Mobile plans for the comparison.

Does Metro support eSIM?

Yes. Metro’s eSIM page says, “Like a SIM card, an eSIM provides your connection to the Metro by T-Mobile network.”
