  1. thank you, thank you, thank you!. My data stopped working about 2 wks ago and I could not find the correct APN settings for my LG Optimus Regard. Cricket help was no help. fyi this phone does not have an icon to start the APN app, but if you start your voice dialer and say “open access point names” it will open the APN app.

  2. Thanks for all the help, I needed to know the APN settings for my “HTC ONE” & the info I found on this website fixed the MMS problems I was having & the problems my sister was having on her “HTC DESIRE C” as well

  3. Thanks for the instructions. It didn’t work on my phone, but, I have a Samsung S4 Zoom that I bought on Amazon. It is an unlocked GSM phone, and as we know Cricket has been acquired by AT&T and turned GSM from CDMA. In any case, I got my Zoom started at a Cricket store, so calls and texting works, but it can’t send pics thru text messaging.

    • Hi Steev,
Thank you. We have updated the details.
Looks like for some the old settings are working so we have put up both details.

Once again thanks for sharing, Steev. :)

  4. I flashed AOKP ROM onto my cricket galaxy s4 and since then have not been able to send pictures. I have tried all settings with apn I could find. I’ve tried different ROMs and messaging apps. No matter what I try I have not been able to fix this problem. Thanks for the post though. Perhaps I’ll stumble upon the answer.

    • Here are few things to check:
      – Make sure you have internet access from your phone.
      – Make sure you have internet data settings and apn settings correct.
      – Check your MMS settings.

  7. I just want to say that we all have been mislead by these so-called no contract phone companies. They told us that we can bring our own unlocked phone and get the service of our choice. Well, there need to be a lawsuit against these companies. I have the $40.00 plan for Cricket, where you get unlimited text, picture messaging and video and about 2.5 GB data monthly. Everything works, but the picture messaging and video. What made me think that there should be a lawsuit? Everything would work if you buy their crappy phones for insane amount of money. Something they did not disclose prior to joining them. We are being mislead by brining our own phones and get the service of our choice (which we are not getting).

    • I had same problem with sending media but it was fixed by changing the APN settings without creating a new APN, but just changing the default one, because my phone kept going back to the default one for some reason until I changed it altogether.

  8. Thank you so much. I have a Google (LG) Nexus 5. I switched from Sprint to Credo (which runs on Sprint and required no SIM change) and from Credo to Cricket Wireless. With the Cricket micro SIM inserted, I got no data access. I tried to change the APN, but got a screen reading something like “This user does not have access to these settings.” I followed the suggestion to tap the upper right menu. It gave me a button to reset to default setttings. When I did and rebooted, I had full LTE data access on Cricket. It was not necessary to make any setting changes manually.

  9. My internet works with the exception of some sites say that I have an “unsupported browser” which is Yahoo (I gues) with Google search.

I have tried both the APN setting for my Note 3. The first doesn’t work and the second won’t add on the APNs at all. Got any other suggestions?

  13. I am using the top APN settings on my LG G4 H815. MMS only works if WiFi is off. Otherwise it attempts to download but never does. Turn off WiFi and MMS messages come in just fine. Anyone else seeing this?

    Thanks

    • Have same phone, messages work MOSTLY fine (wifi and data ON at same time)…..I however NEVER get pic texts but can send them all day long. Also I am stuck forever on 3G speeds (and pay for a unlimited 4g plan with cricket. Not the happiest, but at least my phone works. I let the genius (sarcasm) at cricket dink with my phone and he really messed it up (enough to go factory reset and for me to just start over)

I’m happy in the fact it works (more or less)…..wish I had the 4g (which oddly I discovered I CAN get, but at the loss of ALL messaging AND voice calls. Now THATS weird

  14. I’m so glad I found you, thought it was me! I’m now OK w/ internet and texts….just can’t send or receive MMS. I have an LG g4. Suggestions?

  15. I still have the problem, I can’t send and receive mms, when I try to download the pic show me as error, Please help me I have a Galaxy S4 mini on cricket

  16. The only Apn that gives me calls, data & mms on my note 4 lollipop 5.1 is
    name-cricket
    apn-ndo
    mmsc-http://mmsc.aiowireless.net
    mms proxy- proxy.aiowireless.net
    mmport-80
    mcc-310
    mnc-150
    apn type- default,mms,fota,hipri,supl

I spent almost a week before I finally found an APN that worked for my phone, even Cricket store put in wrong ones. Hope this helps someone else!

  17. Well I have tried and nearly exhausted everything I can think of. LG G4 (which I love), but I can send/receive texts, I can SEND pic texts but not receive. I can get pics thru Facebook messenger but honestly I HATE that app….and on the phone it won’t let me sign that out….which is a annoyance but a easily passed one by I turn all notifications off, no chat heads….basically I have no idea anybody right me unless I look for it.

I am STUCK on 3G speeds (no idea why)….I can get 4g but only if I switch to LTE/CDMA and I get the 4G, but at the loss of ALL calls and texts entirely.

Very odd, very strange…….otherwise settings work great

  21. I have tried several different settings and still have occasional problems getting/receiving mms. They usually go thru eventually after retrying several times. I had not tried the alternative apn you have named Cricket. When I tried to set it, I saved it, but it doesn’t show up on my list of APNs. I tried it twice, didn’t save either time. Any thoughts on why it won’t save? Phone is HTC One m8.

  22. Just activated Cricket Wireless with a phone we purchased separately. It’s an unlocked GSM – HTC One M9. Everything works fine on the phone except picture texts. I’ve dinked around with it, turning WiFi on/off and sending receiving picture texts with some success, but with no consistency.

Is anyone else having the same problem and what is the fix?

  23. 4/7/2017. The 2nd config looks so promising, but unfortunately is not working. I’ve been having sporadic MMS problems on my AT&T Samsung Note 3 that’s ported over to Cricket. While on Wireless, MMS won’t work. Disable wireless and magically MMS/SMS works. I even switched to Textra which helped for a while, but now the problem is back. The 2nd config settings listed in this article won’t save the settings correctly. If I use MNC=004, the entire APN I just created disappears when I click save. If I leave MNC=150, save it, it remains in my APN list. But if I select it, and wait 5 seconds the phone switches back to the Default APN automatically and won’t let me use these custom settings. There’s something in that setup that either my Note 3 doesn’t like, or is not valid on Cricket on the East Coast.

  24. As soon as I type in the MNC as 004 (on the alternate APN settings) the entire APN profile disappears – any ideas what is happening? I was getting MMS up until 4 days ago, then it suddenly stopped working. On an Honor 8.

    • Marissa, I’m having the same problem. Switched from an HCT 550 (long time cricket customer) and trying to bring an unlocked straight talk/ tracfone s7 to the company. My SIM works perfectly in any other phone but once I put it in the s7 I can not get or make calls. I can use all the other features perfectly even without wifi. I did try to use the alternate entry that was listed above and my phone will not save it. :/ I’m afraid I’m going to have to buy a new phone. I’ve talked with cricket about 5 times. The last time they requested I go to a cricket store to have the phone plugged into their system to update the carrier. The store is an hour and a half away but I went anyway. The store had no idea what I was talking about. They talked with cricket main center and were told to try updating my APN again which we did. That was all. Then they decided to tell me it must be the phone is broken. It worked perfectly fine on straight talk right before switching. I did verify with straight talk that the phone is unlocked (several times) , same answer every time. I am at my wits end. I think it’s strange how I can’t save the alternate entry that this site offers. Sigh. Good luck with yours. I hope you figure it out.
