AT&T plans are easy to price on prepaid and hard to price on postpaid. AT&T Prepaid starts at $25 a month for one line. For postpaid, AT&T’s plans page quotes each plan per line for four lines with three discounts already taken off, and it does not print a one-line price at all. AT&T owns one of the three national networks in the United States.

AT&T prepaid plans

These are the plans on the main tab of AT&T’s prepaid page. All three are for a single line.

PlanPriceData
Unlimited talk, text and data$25 a month30 GB a month at up to 3 Mbps, then slowed to 1.5 Mbps
Unlimited Saver$35 a month30 GB a month at up to 3 Mbps, then slowed to 1.5 Mbps
12 month unlimited$240 for a year, which works out to $20 a monthSlowed to 1.5 Mbps after 16 GB. Includes 10 GB of hotspot

Prices are from AT&T’s prepaid plans page, read on October 8, 2026. Taxes and fees are extra.

The $25 plan and the yearly plan are sold online only, to a new single line. The $25 plan comes with a five-year price lock.

Read the speed figures before the word “unlimited”. On the two monthly plans your data runs at no more than 3 Mbps from the first gigabyte.

The page has a second tab called “More great plans”. We could not read it, so AT&T may sell prepaid plans that are not in this table.

AT&T postpaid plans

AT&T’s page gives one figure per plan: the monthly price per line when you take four lines.

PlanPer line with four linesData
AT&T Value 2.0$30Unlimited, with 5 GB of high-speed data and 3 GB of hotspot
AT&T Extra 2.0$40Unlimited, with 100 GB of high-speed data and 50 GB of hotspot
AT&T Premium 2.0$50Unlimited high-speed data, 100 GB of hotspot
AT&T Elite 2.0$70Unlimited high-speed data, 250 GB of hotspot

Prices are from AT&T’s unlimited plans page, read on October 8, 2026.

Those figures are after an AutoPay discount, a paperless billing discount and a “wireless discount” that needs proof of eligibility. AT&T’s footnote adds that discounts start within three bills and that taxes and fees are extra. A single line costs more per line than this, and the page does not say how much. We will not guess. Use the line selector on AT&T’s page to get your own number.

Does AT&T Prepaid support eSIM?

Yes. AT&T’s prepaid activation article tells customers who need one to choose “Get an eSIM activation card” when they buy a plan. AT&T ships the card, and you “Scan the QR code from the eSIM activation card we shipped to you and follow the prompts”, then restart the phone.

Setting up data on an AT&T phone

If you brought your own phone and data or picture messages do not work, the values AT&T publishes are on our AT&T APN settings page.
