Lycamobile plans in the United States are 30-day prepaid plans built around calling abroad. Lycamobile describes itself as “The world’s largest international mobile virtual network operator with over 16 million customers”. The US arm is Lycamobile USA Inc.

Lycamobile plans

These are the 30-day plans on Lycamobile’s plans page on October 8, 2026. Each includes unlimited talk and text in the US and unlimited international talk and text to 100 countries.

Unlimited ProUnlimited, at full speed for the first 50 GB

We have not given a price column, on purpose. When we read the page, several plans showed one price in the name and a different, lower one beneath it. The “$23” plan, for example, was followed by “15 USD / 30 days”. That is probably a promotion, but the page did not say so in the text we could read. Check the price at checkout.

Lycamobile also lists long-term plans, which we could not read.

Taxes and fees

Lycamobile’s terms say two things. “All advertised pricing for Lyca Mobile Services includes taxes and fees.” They also say plans “will be subject to a five percent (5%) regulatory recovery fee”. Expect the 5%.

Which network does Lycamobile use?

Its terms do not name a carrier outright. They say Lycamobile provides service “using its own Network and the Networks of one or more telecommunications operators”.

The same terms point to T-Mobile. Lycamobile does not support phones “that are not approved for US use by T-Mobile”. A setup guide on Lycamobile’s own blog also speaks of “the Lyca/T-Mobile network”.

That is not the whole picture. One of the two sets of settings Lycamobile publishes, shown below, uses AT&T’s servers. Wikipedia’s list of MVNOs gives AT&T for new Lycamobile activations and T-Mobile for older ones. So we list both, and you should ask Lycamobile which one a new SIM will use.

Does Lycamobile support eSIM?

Yes. Lycamobile’s guides refer to activating “your SIM/eSIM”, and say an existing customer can log in, select SIM Management and choose “Swap to new eSIM”, after which a QR code arrives by email.

Lycamobile APN settings

Lycamobile says “APN settings are configured automatically when you activate your SIM/eSIM.” For the times that fails, its Android guide gives two sets and says to “Choose one of these two settings.”

It adds: “Do not modify any other fields.” The guide does not say which set goes with which SIM.

For an iPhone, Lycamobile’s iOS guide says that if data is not working, go to Settings, Cellular, Cellular Data Network and enter these.
