Consumer Cellular plans start at $20 a month, and its headline offer is aimed at one group. “Over 50? Unlimited everything for $35.” Consumer Cellular describes itself as selling “plans and phones made for seniors”, with customer service based in the United States.

Consumer Cellular prices we could confirm

Consumer Cellular’s full plan list sits behind a verification step we could not get past, so this table is what its home page states.

OfferPriceWho it is for
Lowest planFrom $20 a monthAnyone
One line, unlimited talk, text and data$35 a monthCustomers aged 50 and over
Two lines, unlimited$60 a monthCustomers aged 50 and over
Two lines, unlimited, AARP price$55 a monthAARP members

These are from Consumer Cellular’s site, read on October 8, 2026.

Two conditions are in the footnotes. “Unlimited data plans only for customers age 50+.” And the prices shown “include $5 credit for AutoPay and E-billing”, so without both you pay $5 more.

Unlimited has a ceiling here as elsewhere. On a single line speeds are reduced after 35 GB in a month. On multi-line unlimited plans it is 50 GB.

Taxes are extra. The plan page says its totals “do not include any state or local taxes”. There is also a one-time activation fee of $10 a line.

Consumer Cellular prices for AARP members

The site also lists plans with 1, 5, 10, 15 and 20 GB of data. The only prices we could read for those were on Consumer Cellular’s AARP page, which shows what members pay for one line.

PlanAARP member price
1 GB$19 a month
5 GB$23.75 a month
Unlimited, with 35 GB of high-speed data$33.25 a month

Adding a line to any of the three is $15 a month. AARP members get 5% off monthly service, and the page says the $19 plan already includes it. The $55 price for two unlimited lines cannot be combined with that 5%.

Which network does Consumer Cellular use?

AT&T’s, as far as its own pages show. Consumer Cellular speaks of reselling service “on the networks of our Underlying Carriers”, in the plural, without naming them. Its settings page for phones is headed “APN SETTINGS FOR AT&T NETWORK”.

We could not confirm a second network from its site.

Consumer Cellular APN settings

The APN is ereseller, and Consumer Cellular says it can “remotely configure your phone” if you give a customer service agent its IMEI number. The full Android list is on our Consumer Cellular APN settings page.

Is it only for seniors?

No. Anyone can buy the plans with a data allowance. The unlimited plans are the part restricted by age, and AARP members get a lower two-line price.
