Cricket Wireless plans cost $35 to $60 for one line in the first month, and $5 less after that if you turn on Auto Pay. Cricket is a prepaid brand owned by AT&T. Every plan card on its site carries the same line, “Nationwide 5G on the AT&T network”, so coverage is AT&T’s.

Prices are from Cricket’s phone plans page, read on October 8, 2026, with one line selected.

The cheap unlimited plan has strings. Select Unlimited is for new lines only, and every line on the account has to be on it. Cricket also says data on Select and Smart “may slow if the network is busy”, and video streams in standard definition on both.

Is Cricket the same as AT&T?

Same towers, different company rules. Cricket is a subsidiary of AT&T and its site says so in the footer. You buy from Cricket and pay Cricket, on Cricket’s plans and prices, not AT&T’s.

Cricket also absorbed another AT&T prepaid brand. Aio Wireless was merged into Cricket in 2014.

Does Cricket support eSIM?

Yes. Cricket’s support pages say moving service from one phone to another “just got easier by using eSIM”, and that select Android phones include one.

Bringing your own phone

Cricket says that shortly after you insert its SIM card, an Android phone should show a notification to install the Cricket settings. If that does not appear, enter them yourself from our Cricket APN settings page.
