Republic Wireless plans are no longer sold. Republic was an MVNO, a mobile virtual network operator, known for cheap plans that leaned on Wi-Fi calling. It closed in 2023, and its last home page said so in one line: “Republic wireless by DISH is transitioning to Boost Infinite”.
What Republic told its customers
An archived copy of republicwireless.com from October 3, 2023 carries the whole message. Existing customers were told to “visit boostinfinite.com/republic to confirm your account details”. The page promised they could “Keep your same phone and number” and “Stay on the same network”, and offered wireless service “just for $25/mo. Forever”.
You can read it in the Internet Archive.
We could not find the announcement itself on a DISH or Boost page. Wikipedia, citing Fierce Wireless, gives July 10, 2023 for the announcement and August 31, 2023 for the end of the transition. Treat those two dates as reported, not confirmed.
Where the service is now
With Boost Mobile. The address Republic sent its customers to, boostinfinite.com/republic, now lands on Boost Mobile’s home page. Republic’s own website does not load.
If you were a Republic customer and never moved your number elsewhere, Boost Mobile is the company to call. Its current plans and its network are on our Boost Mobile page.
Republic Wireless plans as of 2016
This is what Republic charged when we documented it in November 2016. Back then it ran on Sprint’s network for older phones and had just added T-Mobile’s for newer ones. Every plan had unlimited talk and text.

The $5 plan worked only on Wi-Fi. It had no cellular service at all.
