Helium Mobile plans come in two sizes, $15 and $30 a month. Helium Mobile is an MVNO, a mobile virtual network operator, that says it also runs a network of its own. Its footer says “Helium Mobile is a service of Affiniti Ventures, Inc.”
Helium Mobile plans and prices
| Plan | Price | Data |
|---|---|---|
| Air | $15 a month | 10 GB, of which up to 5 GB can be hotspot |
| Infinity | $30 a month | Unlimited, with 36 GB of high-speed hotspot |
Prices are from Helium Mobile’s plans and pricing article, read on October 8, 2026. Both are listed with “taxes and fees apply”.
On Air, extra data is $5 a gigabyte, bought in the app. On Infinity, Helium says “After 36GB of usage in a billing cycle, data speeds may be reduced”.
You can also pay for 12 months at once. We could not read the yearly prices.
The free plan is gone
Helium Mobile was known for a free plan called Zero. Its support site says: “The Helium Mobile Zero Plan was retired on June 11, 2026.” Customers on Zero were moved to Air.
Plans for children
Helium sells three Kids plans, which need a Group Plan: Sprout at $5 for 3 GB, Air Kids at $15 for 10 GB and Infinity Kids at $30 for unlimited data.
Which network does Helium Mobile use?
Helium describes two: “the Helium Mobile Network and the nation’s largest 5G network”. It does not name the second.
We file it under T-Mobile. Wikipedia’s list of MVNOs gives T-Mobile as the
host, and Helium’s iPhone instructions
tell you to change the APN from wholesale, which is the APN that
Mint Mobile and Tello
publish. Ask Helium to confirm if the network matters to you.
Does Helium Mobile support eSIM?
Yes. Helium says its subscribers “can use either a physical SIM or eSIM setup”, and you activate in its app.
Helium Mobile APN settings
Helium’s APN article gives a name and no other values.
On Android it says to “Create a new APN called “helium-mobile"", under Settings, Network and Internet, SIMs, Access Point Names, and then select it.
On an iPhone it says to change the Access Point Name from “wholesale” to “Helium-Mobile” under Cellular Data, and under Personal Hotspot, then restart the phone.
