Walmart Family Mobile plans cost $19.88 to $49.88 a month for one line. Walmart Family Mobile is a prepaid brand sold under Walmart’s name, and its site says “Walmart Family Mobile is a registered trademark of Walmart Apollo, LLC.” The service behind it is part of Verizon’s prepaid business, which is covered further down.

Walmart Family Mobile plans and prices

Four monthly plans, each with unlimited talk and text.

$49.88$47.38“Truly unlimited data”30 GB

Prices are from Family Mobile’s plans page, read on October 9, 2026. Every plan is marked “Taxes and fees apply”.

The two larger plans include unlimited calling to Canada and Mexico. Video streams at up to 720p on all of them, and Family Mobile says data “may be temporarily slower than other traffic” when the network is busy.

Extra lines are $19.88 each

This is the selling point. Each plan card says “add a line for $19.88 a month”, whatever the plan. The page adds that “Multiline discounts will vary at checkout, depending on the current plan.”

One thing gives way when you add lines: “Auto Pay discounts available for single line accounts only.”

How that compares is on our best family plans page.

Fees on top

The plan label for the $24.88 plan shows what “fees apply” means. It lists a Reg and Telco Recovery Charge of $1.56 and a Federal Universal Service Fund charge of $0.14, with government taxes that vary by location. The activation fee is $0.

Family Mobile Peace of Mind

A fallback for a line you cannot pay for this month: “unlimited talk and incoming texts for as low as $1/month”. It has no data. You must have been on a $19.88 plan or higher for three months, the plan must be in suspension, and it is for “Verizon network customers only”.

Who is behind Walmart Family Mobile?

Verizon’s prepaid business. Family Mobile’s support site has a section headed “Verizon Acquisition”, which tells customers they “will not have to make any immediate changes or take any action”, and its terms and privacy links go to verizon.com.

The same wording appears on Page Plus, another Verizon prepaid brand. All of Verizon’s are listed on our who owns what page.

Which network does Walmart Family Mobile use?

Verizon’s for new service, with a caveat. Family Mobile’s support pages separate “the Verizon network” from “a non-Verizon network”, and explain that to switch “you can purchase a Verizon-compatible SIM card or a new Verizon-compatible device.” So some older lines are on another network. The site does not say which.

Does Walmart Family Mobile support eSIM?

Yes. Its support site describes an eSIM as “a digital SIM that eliminates the need for a physical SIM card”, and says a customer with a SIM card can move to an eSIM-compatible phone.

Data settings

Family Mobile does not publish APN values. Its APN page says to “Text APN to 611611”, or to enter your phone number or SIM number for instructions. It works the same way as its sister brand, described on our Straight Talk APN settings page.
