H2O APN Settings – iPhone and Android

Use the below H2O APN Settings for configuring internet or data connection and mms settings for sending mms for android, iPhone, iOS, blackberry or other unlocked phones.

How to setup APN for H2O Wireless (for Android)?

  1. Go to Menu -> Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> Mobile networks -> Access Point Names -> New APN.
  2. Now type the below parameters.
    • Name: H2O
    • APN: att.mvno
    • Proxy: Not Set
    • Port: Not Set
    • User Name: Not Set
    • Password: Not Set
    • Server: Not Set
    • MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
    • MMSC Proxy: proxy.mvno.H2OMobileweb.com
    • Port: 80
    • MCC:310
    • MNC:410
    • Authentication Type: CHAP
    • APN Type: default,supl,mms,hipri
    • APN Protocol: IPv4/IPv6
    • APN Roaming Protocol: IPv4
    • Bearer: Unspecified
    • MVNO Type: None

Configure H2O Wireless APN Settings for iPhone.

The easiest way to do it is by simply visting their website, follow the link: https://www.h2owirelessnow.com/mainControl.php?page=IPhoneData and provide your mobile number and click configure.

You can also do it manually, however before doing it make sure that your iPhone unlocked and have a WiFi connectivity to goto the url.

Goto to the link, https://www.h2owirelessnow.com/mainControl.php?page=dataManualConfig
You will recieve the iPhone configuration link soon in your phone. If you did not receive it, please copy and paste this link, (http://www.locusapi.com/pcs/apn.php) into your browser.

Once you have the link, please follow these steps:

  1.     Click on the link received via text message.
  2.     Click on the install option.
  3.     A screen should come up to Cancel or Install. Please select the install option.
  4.     If successful, you will receive a “profile installed” message at the top of the screen.

If an error message is received stating a profile is already installed, follow the steps below:

  1.     Go to settings.
  2.     Go to general.
  3.     Scroll down to PROFILE.
  4.     Click PROFILE option (This will access the current profile installed on the phone).
  5.     Select REMOVE option.
  6.     Warning message should show up to confirm, proceed to REMOVE.
  7.     If successful, this will remove the profile and back to the previous screen.
  8.     Once this process is done, please follow the steps above to install the H2O profile.

  1. The APN, att.mvno, could be prodata. Previously, I used the former, but with a new SIM I had to use the latter. H2O phone support had me to fill in the proxy and port, as well as set the auth. type to PAP. I removed the proxy and port, and set the auth. type to “none”. PAP or CHAP doesn’t matter.

  2. This doesn’t work on Iphone 6 plus with ios 10.3.1. The manual config link gets you an APN that can’t be configured. Same for unlockit.co.nz.

    • I have same problem with iPhone 6s. H2O support could not help me and they told me to check my phone. On iPhone 5 it is working OK. I switch SIMS and same problem. Most likely H2O data does not working on iPhone 6

  3. I’ve found the solution…I have a 6+ running on 10.3.2 Beta…to configure VPN you must go to the website unlockit.co.nz, click Create APN from bottom of screen, choose USA and H2O as carrier and you’re done. Data is now back up and running!
