Tello plans run from $10 to $25 a month for one line. Tello is a small prepaid MVNO, a mobile virtual network operator, and its plans are among the cheapest on this site.

Tello plans and prices

Four ready-made plans, each with unlimited talk and text and each lasting 30 days.

PlanPriceData
Starter$102 GB
Everyday$1510 GB
Power$2020 GB
Max$25Unlimited

Prices are from Tello’s plans page, read on October 8, 2026.

Tello explains what unlimited means: “The unlimited data plan offers 50 GB at full 5G speed with 10 GB of hotspot included. Data speed is reduced after 50 GB.” It also says unused high-speed data rolls over.

You can build your own plan too, mixing a data amount with a number of minutes. Tello gives the minimum as $5.

The price label says “introductory”

Each plan’s label describes the monthly price as “available for new customers only” and “an introductory rate”, applying for the “First month”. The line that should give the price after that was empty when we read the page.

That may be a quirk of the label and not a price rise. We could not tell, so check what the second month costs before you sign up.

Which network does Tello use?

Tello does not name its carrier on the pages we read. It says “Nationwide 5G Coverage”, and its help centre says only that “Tello uses a LTE/5G network”. The clue is in its own Android instructions, which tell you to make sure “Tello or fast.t-mobile.com is selected”. That is T-Mobile’s APN, and Wikipedia’s list of MVNOs also puts Tello on T-Mobile’s network.

Tello APN settings

Tello says it “usually sets up your data automatically”, and that “some Android phones need a manual nudge”. The APN is wholesale. The full values for Android and iPhone are on our Tello APN settings page.

Does Tello support eSIM?

Yes. When you order, Tello asks you to choose “a physical SIM card (mailed to you) or an eSIM (instant activation if your phone supports it)”.
