Here are the steps to follow:
- Open the Settings.
- Select Wireless & networks.
- Select Mobile Networks.
- Select Access Point Names.
- Tap the three dots(or More..) at the bottom right and select New APN.
- Now enter the following APN settings information:
- Name:ATT
- APN:wap.cingular
- Proxy:blank
- Username:blank
- Password:blank
- Server:blank
- MMSC:http://mmsc.cingular.com
- MMS Proxy:wirless.cingular.com
- MMS Port:80
- MCC:310
- MNC;012
- Authentication type:not set
- APN Type:internet + mms
- Save this and then select this APN. You can now connect to internet after 2 minutes (if not working please try restarting your device and then connect).

forgot the “e” in wireless.. no big deal just wanted to point it out before it became a big issue.

I have same issue as Babette – APN will not save and I am making sure to hit Save. I tried just adding one field and saving after each one. The APN will save up until the point of adding the MNC and it will not save after you add that field. After using these settings, I can’t send MMS text messages.
instead of 012 try 410…. Usually the MCC and the MNC are already set to the only thing that sim card will allow. if its not 410 leave it at whatever it already is. it will then save it.
